Generally speaking, there is an universal idea that the photographic portrait is limited to a foreground image or midplane of a person, but on seeing the exhibition Portrait in the Alcobendas Collection we discover that it is not so, the selected works of four authors present in our collection lead us to new ways of understanding the contemporary portrait.

Pierre Gonnord with his impeccable realism, Amparo Garrido and her wise dogs, the colourist irony of Carlos Pérez Siquier and Miguel Trillo shows us a different and fascinating way of understanding portrait.
