Sol Lewitt is an artist key in development of conceptual art, he proposses a new concept of creativity, with exaltation of the idea and his planification with the artist handcraft hability. For Sol Lewitt, the idea or the concept is the most important thing in artistic work, and the ejecutation is a mecanic act, who is delegated in others. As a sculptures creator or estructures as he like call them, he uses humbles materials, concrete white blocks of the same sizes.
Curved Wall speaks about Lewitt's interest in curved forms, but also in simplicity, logic and clarity. A smooth wavy form that contrasts with the rudeness of the material and who invite to focus in the perception of the idea is in the abstract artwork.
